When Savanah's beloved Nannie spent her final days at Fraser Coast Hospice three years ago, it sparked a heartfelt promise. Through her grief, Savanah made a decision that would honour her grandmother's memory in a uniquely personal way—she would grow her hair until the time was right to make a difference.
Now, after three years of patient growing, Savanah is ready for "The Big Chop" at our Mad Hatter's Mis-Matched Tea Party. This isn't just a haircut—it's the culmination of a journey of healing and purpose. The beautiful hair she's nurtured will go on to become a wig for someone in need, while funds raised will support Fraser Coast Hospice in providing the same compassionate, dignified care that meant so much to Savanah's family during their difficult time.
"Your loved ones never go away as long as they stay in your memories and hearts," says Savanah. "The hospice was able to supply our family with a safe and dignified space for our nannie."
